Welcome back to what is going to be a fast paced very busy and short term 4!
We have 3 weeks to prepare for our Art exhibition and show! Our students have prepared a little wearable arts show that will be performed during the evening. This show will also be performed at Waitaruke’s Cultural Festival.
Please be aware that the art exhibition will start at 5.30 pm. We would like to ask your help to organise for your children to be picked up by lunchtime on that day so that they can be rested for the evening. This is also the day of the meningococcal vaccinations.
We are hoping that with the help of our parents we can provide some refreshments for during the time of the exhibition. More information will follow later.
This term is extremely short and teachers are going to need all the time they can get to complete all assessments, write reports, complete portfolio work and work on the art exhibition and performance. Please be helpful and make sure your children go to bed early enough so that they have the stamina to do their work to the best of their ability here at school. We know it is getting dark later, but please try and stick to a sensible routine with them.
Our Christmas craft market will be a highlight once again! Please start thinking about this so you and your child/ren can have fun times creating something for their stall. More specific information and guidelines about this will be with the next newsletter.
PLEASE NOTE: The Fundraising Committee Meeting
will not be held tomorrow. This has been postponed until Thursday 24th November starting at 3pm.
All are welcome to come along and bring any ideas you have with you.
Next years’ fishing competition will be one of the things on the agenda for this meeting.
Please find attached to the newsletter the Meningococcal C vaccine permission form from the Public health Nurse.
They will be here at our school on Friday 11th November to administer the vaccine to only those students that have been given permission for.
Please return the forms back to school no later than next Monday 31st October.
There is information sheets inside the form for you to read, or if you have any other concerns or questions please phone Julia on the numbers given at the back of the form.

It requires children to wear broad-brimmed, legionnaire or bucket hats when they are outside
(eg intervals, lunch, sport, excursions and activities) during Terms 1 and 4.
Our “no hat, play in the shade” policy, requires children without a hat to play in the shade.
