Kia Ora Koutou
It is hard to believe that in a couple of days we will have completed three terms – where has the time gone?
I would like to welcome to the school the following students and their whanau and I hope that they will enjoy their time here at our wonderful little school. Welcome to Kal-El Kimura, Unique and Uzay Terewi-Barter.
Tomorrow we have our Winter Sports Day at Kaeo Rugby grounds. Children need to bring a water bottle, morning tea and lunch, warm clothing and money if they wish to purchase any food. I will be notified by 7.00am if the day is cancelled due to weather and then I will post it on our facebook page, Skool Loop app and text messaging site.
During the past two weeks we have been working on the Raranga Matihiko Programme with tutors from the Waitangi Museum. The children have been using a programme called Scratch to design an animation of themselves relating to our theme this term, the Rugby World Cup. They have showed tremendous perseverence during this time to complete the project.
Next term our major theme will be Pets – about them and caring for them. this will lead into our Pet Day (Friday 08 Nov) where the children will be able to bring their pet along, produce a sand/vaseline saucer, aqua jar and a tray scene. We might even put in a baking section but more information will be sent out closer to the date next term.
Due to buses arriving early on Friday we will close at 12.30pm. The first bus will leave at 12.40pm and the second bus at 1.40pm.
Next term is the term that all children must be wearing a wide brimmed hat during interval and lunch time. Please ensure that your child/ren have a hat at school every day.
Lastly I would like to thank you all for your continued support and I wish you happy holidays with your tamariki
