Kia Ora Koutou
Welcome back to Term 3 I hope you and a great time with your children in the holidays and got through that awful weather last week unscathed.
Once again we have a jam packed term with the big event of our Production, Hats Off, in Week 9 which is also Te Reo o te Wiki. Please keep an eye out for any notices regarding the Production as we will be asking for help – prop and costume making and baking for our Matinee performance for the Grandparents and invited guests.
We are also having a Book Week the week before the Production and the theme for all the children is the Wild Wilderness and NZ authors. We will be having a visit to the Kaeo Library on 19 August as part of this study.
In Week 4 Reports will be sent out and we will be having the 3 Way Conferences the following week.
This term we have decided to have our Assembly on Friday afternoons – 2pm- so if you wish to join us , feel free.
You would have received a Survey on line and also a paper copy by now regarding our Strategic Plan. Thanks to those who have already returned them and I would appreciate that they be completed and returned by next Friday so I can start to collate them and with the Board, start developing the Strategic Plan for the next three years.
Ruth Heta has come back to help us with Kapahaka for the next two terms leading up to the Cultural Festival. During this time the children will be learning some new waiata and Ruth is including some basic Te Reo in the lessons.
Finally next Friday is Red Nose Day – Child Cancer – and we are asking the children to be dressed in red and have red painted noses. We will help with the painting of the noses. We ask that they bring along a gold coin donation.
