Kia Ora Koutou
Thank you all for your cooperation regarding us going back to Alert 2. We continue to empasize the importance of good hygiene practices of handwashing/sanitizing and coughing into your elbow. Just a reminder if your child is unwell please keep them at home. We have a few absent at present which is not unusual at this time of the year.
The children are presently rehearsing for the production of Hats Off that we hope to perform in Week 9. If we are still are at Alert Level 2 at this time we will have to postpone it due the restrictions on numbers and our elderly community. We will continue to rehearse so that we are ready at anytime and keep on the look out for things for your child’s costume and the props that we need. During these uncertain times there will probably be more postponements but of course that is out of our hands.
Our Book Week in Week 8 will still go ahead along with our own Parade so I hope that the tamariki have got a good idea of what they are going to be dressed up in.
Thank you to all of you that came to the 3 Way Conferences today to talk with the teachers about your child’s learning. If you were unable to attend please get in touch with the teacher to make another appointment.
Finally I would like to welcome a new whanau to our school (which I apologize that I did not do this in the last newsletter). Welcome the Mendham Whanau – Marika in the Junior Class, Ari in the Senior Class and Sarah and Phillip.
