Kia Ora Koutou
What an awesome Camp we had last week. I was so impressed in how the tamariki took some risks and tried many of the activities that were a challenge for them. Seeing their great big smiles when they had tackled the activity was beautiful. Thanks to all the parents who helped on the camp and special thanks to Cian and Aleesha in the kitchen. Ka pai kai the whole time.
The next big item on the event list is the Production. I will be sending out a notice closer to the time asking for homebaking for the Matinee Performance when we invite Grandparents and Special Guests.
The Kaeo Christmas Parade is on Sunday 13 December – theme is Nursery Rhymes. We finish the year on Thursday 10 December and I am unsure how many of the children would attend this event. Also I would need a parent to organise the float as I am unavailable on that date. Please fill in the attached form and return to school as soon as possible so I can see who and how many can attend and if there is someone to organise it.
Welcome to two new whanau to Totara North School – Logan , Rozanne and Stephen plus Jodacey, Ngalena and Hayden.
During the Christmas break there will be a lot of construction work happening at here at School. I know some of you like to come and bring your whanau up to School to use the grounds, which is great, but I do ask that during this break could you please refrain from doing so. This is a Health and Safety issue with many contractors on site and I would hate to hear of any accidents.
Community Bonfire Night is on this Saturday – 6pm. Make a Guy for the Bonfire and start making those yummy cupcakes.
Remember that we are having a Teacher Only Day on Monday 23 November so tamariki will not be at school on that day.
We have obtained a new sponsor for the School – Anne-Marie Ruthe from Harcourts – and we welcome her into our School Whanau.
An important reminder about the rules of the School Carpark after an incident on Monday afternoon. – NO child is to be unaccompanied in the carpark (they must walk with an adult) and please do not leave any child or children alone in the car at all.
