Newsletter 2 Term 2 – Friday 21st May

Kia Ora Koutou

We are into the third week of the Free School Lunch Scheme and the food seems to be going down well with the children.  Some are trying foods that they haven’t had before and we are so proud of them.  We supply the children with a snack at morning tea – fruit, fruit cup or trail mix – so there is no need for you to supply them with a snack.  If you wish to supply them with something we ask that there is no packet food but maybe fruit (that is in abundance at your place) or vegetable sticks like carrot or celery.

Today it was Pink Shirt Day in support of Kōrero Mai, Kōrero Atu, Mauri Tū, Mauri Ora – Speak Up, Stand Together, Stop Bullying and here are a few photos of the tamariki in pink.

We are on the hunt for a cleaner to work Monday, Tuesday, Thursday for an hour and an hour and a half on the Wednesday.  If you or you know someone who is interested please let me know.

Just a reminder that there is a Teacher Only Day on Tuesday 08 June which is straight after Queens Birthday Weekend.
