Newsletter 4 Term 2 – Friday 18 June

Kia Ora Koutou

It is hard to believe that we are half way through the year already and in four weeks we will have completed another term.  This means that you will be receiving your child’s Mid Year Report and our 3 Way Conferences will be held soon.  This is a chance for you to come and speak with the teachers, along with your child, about their progress so far and what the next steps will be for them.  A form  is being sent out with this newsletter for you to fill out a time that is convenient for you to come and have this talk.  Please return this by Friday 2nd of July and we will endeavour to give you a time slot that you choose. (First in, best dressed)

In a few weeks we will be hosting the Whangaroa Cluster Cross Country.  This is also a small fundraiser for us and we have a sausage sizzle, sell baked goodies and juicies.  We cater for about 200 people so I am sending home a form that asks you to indicate what you could bake/make to sell.  To make this a success we do need everybody to contribute something and have some volunteers to help on the day.  Please have this from returned by next Wednesday 23 June.

At present I am looking for a person who can help out with our Kapahaka.  If you know of anyone could you please put them in touch with me – many thanks.

The weather at present is very unpredictable at present with rain one minute and then sunshine the next.  This can cause slippery surfaces and cause some falls so to have a spare set of clothes in your child’s bag is quite a good idea along with the jacket that they have been supplied from Kids Can.

Many thanks for your continued support and we will see you at the Cross Country and 3 Way Conferences.
