Kia Ora Koutou
It was great to see all the tamariki back on the first day last week. I hope you had some great quality time with them even though the weather was not that great.
This term we are having a health focus for our topic with Constable Rob talking to the tamariki about keeping themselves safe and Helen Foley will join us later on this term to talk about teeth cleaning and how much sugar are in some of our food and drinks plus the teachers will be looking at safety around the home and on buses.
With our intensive in Week 5 we are having a focus on Fabrics which we are incorporating in to our Science learning for this term. Later on in Term 4 we will be looking at having an Arts Exhibition where whanau can view and buy the pieces of artworks.
Well done to all of the tamariki for their effort that they put into learning a poem (Juniors) and writing a speech (Seniors). It is a bit daunting to stand up in front of a large group and speak. Thank you to all the parents that came to support as well – a great turn out. Three Seniors – Axel, Lily and Izzy – will be representing us at the Waipapa Rotary Speech Night in Kaeo on Tuesday night. Good luck to them.
As you can see in the dates to remember we have once again got lots of things happening this term. Please take note of the dates listed.
We welcome Indie to Totara North School – another Apiata to join our whanau.
