Newsletter 1 Term 4 – Friday 19 November 2021

Kia Ora Koutou

It is great to be back at school and have a had a full week with no disruptions – fingers crossed.

We have been able to complete our Art activities with the exception of the Junior class working with Mrs Murdoch but this will be done next week when she is in that class.  Many thanks to Stella and Clay’s Mum Chantelle who helped us out. On that note you would have received and invitation to our Art Exhibition on Wednesday 08 December at the the Totara North Hall.  The children’s artwork will be displayed and you will have an opportunity to buy this for a koha.  We will be following Covid-19 regulations that will be in at that time – Mask wearing, sanitizing and social distancing.

We will also still be having Prizegiving at this stage – it is held outdoors and we will have families sitting in bubbles, social distancing and mask wearing also.  I hope that you all can join us and celebrate the children’s achievements this year – I am so proud of them and they have done so well with all of the disruptions that have happened.

Just a reminder that it is Teacher Only Day next Friday 26 November and then the following week it is our trip to Whangarei.  In regards to this trip we will be asking for $10 per child just to help out with some costs of the trip.  I will send out a notice next week with all the details.

A big welcome to Kymberly and Pippen and their whanau to Totara North School!
