Kia Ora Koutou
What an awesome day we had yesterday down in Whangarei. I was quite impressed with our short visit to Whangarei Museum and learnt a few things about our area here up north. I will admit it was actually my first time to that museum.
The Whangarei Aquatic Centre was great and I thought that the tamariki would look like prunes as they stayed in the pools for nearly 2 hours straight. The wave pool and slides were a highlight.
Next week it is our Art Exhibition and on Monday I will send out more details regarding this and the procedures that we will need to follow. This notice will also include Prizegiving procedures.
As you know we are in the Red Traffic Light but schools are operating in the Alert Level 2 until the end of the year – this has come from the Ministry – so children do not have to wear masks in class.
Wednesday 15 December is our last school day (the day after prizegiving) and we will be finishing at 12.30pm. Unfortunately school buses will not be running as we are the only school still open that day in our area and there will be no school lunches that day either.
Finally I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and safe holiday and hopefully we are in Orange (or Green- hopeful) at the start next year.
