Kia Ora Koutou
How are the selling of your Easter Raffle tickets going? If you are having trouble selling them please return them to school so we can pass them on to others. If you need more just let us know. Thank you to those who have already sold their book and asked for more. We need the ticket butts and money returned by Tuesday 12 April. This week it was Packet food for donations. Next week it is frozen food and the following and final week to send items in is Perishable/Produce Goods.
Touch wood we have been lucky in regards with Covid-19 so far. Remember the rules of self-isolation – if someone in your household contracts it the household is in isolation for 7 days. If you child contracts it during that time their isolation of 7 days begins on the day after the test. Let us know if you have positive cases and if you need support. We are all here to help our whanau. Keep safe, sanitize, mask up and be kind to others.
As we are still in the Red level the Senior class will still be wearing masks. The children are doing really well with this and we have been ensuring that there are many breaks so that it is not a long period of time that they are wearing them.
We have three more swimming sessions at the Community Pool at the College. This includes the last day of School Wednesday 13 April as it is a normal finish day for us. The children are really enjoying this time and I have seen improvements in their confidence and skills as well.
Finally we welcome Rebecca and Skyler and their Whanau to Totara North School.
Morag, our Enviro School facilitator, has been visiting us to help us with our learning about Pests and their introduction to New Zealand plus helping us with our next steps of gaining a Silver Award.
