Kia Ora Koutou
Well the wintery weather is upon us and the time for coughs and sneezes are also about. Please remember if you child is unwell keep them home and let the School know by phone, email or through the Skool Loop App. Of course this season also brings a fair amount of rain. All children have a rain jacket supplied to them and may I suggest that this is kept in the bottom of their bags so they have it to put on as we never know when the rain will arrive.
This term we are been looking at Fairy Tales and Myths and Legends and I have seen some impressive work produced by the students either in written or art form. Just a heads up next term it is the Commonwealth Games and that is the theme for the term – Sports and different cultures. We may be asking you for some information about your family’s heritage.
Cross Country is in a couple of weeks and next week I will send out a notice requesting help and what baked goodies you can make for us. The children have been training hard for this event all term.
If you would like some more RAT tests let me know as I still have a supply of them and can send some home to you. I also have an abundance of masks if you would like some of them too.
We are so lucky to have Gina from Sport Northland to assist with the keeping our children active. Here are some of them trying to work out the code for the colour of sticks – Treasure Hunt – they had to run around all over the school to find them and get them in the correct order.
