Kia Ora Koutou
Welcome back to Term 3 – a little late starting but it was great to see the tamariki back on Wednesday.
Just to let you know about when School is closed – I do not make the call regarding the buses running. This term Whangaroa College is in charge of this and with consultation with the bus company they make the decision and also understand some of the bus drivers are not even able to get into Kaeo from their homes to drive the buses.. About 90% of our tamariki travel on these buses and three quarters of the staff live on the south side of the Kaeo bridge. For those few of us that are not affected by the flooding it can seem strange that the School is closed. I thank you for your understanding with this matter.
What’s on this term –
Our theme for the first part is around the Commonwealth Games and we are hoping to have our own Mini Commonwealth Games led by the Senior Class later in the term
Duffy Theatre Show will be visiting us
A School and Community Meeting – notice and mailbox drop on Monday about this
The Senior Class will have a virtual meeting with an Author
A trip to Gumdiggers up near Kaitaia
We will be hosting the Cross Country 19 August – I will resend out the helpers list next week.
Matauri Bay Sports at Kaeo Rugby Grounds
So you see once again we will have a busy term.
Thank you for those who sent back the Survey last Term and congratulations to the Everitt Whanau – you will be recieving a small gift from us next week.
