I hope you survived the drastic weather and are keeping warm and safe. This newsletter is late due to the fact we were closed for those two days.
Regarding the Cross Country I am talking to the other schools and we are working on another date. At present Friday 16 September may be the one but I will confirm this later.
On Wednesday 10 August we called a School and Community Hui. The attendance was nil other than the staff and our Board Chair which was very disappointing. I did have one apology from a family but otherwise nothing. Do we assume that you are happy, have nothing to add to our school or the timing was wrong? It was also a shame that no one from the community attended. We may try again later in the year in the summer months.
This Friday we are hoping to hold a Mini Commonwealth Games here at School. I am once again watching the weather forecast to see whether we can hold this event. I will make the decision on Thursday so that you know if we are going ahead. This little event is easier to reschedule as it only involves us. If you wish to attend this day you are most welcome to come along.
Next week Wednesday 31 August, we are off on a trip to the Gumdiggers Park up near Kaitaia. A notice for assistance will be sent out later this week.
