Newsletter 1 Term 2 – Friday 19 May 2023

Kia Ora Koutou

Have you got your tickets for the Fishing Competition?  Unfortunately we have had to postpone the ‘King of the Coast’ Fishing Competition until next weekend 27th & 28th of May 2023 due to the windy weather warnings so we can keep you all safe.  Tickets are now on sale from the advertised outlets until 4pm Friday 26th of May.  We have been really spoiled by some businesses and there are some great prizes to win, not only in the competition but also spot prizes.  See you all there on Sunday for the weigh in, auction (fish and kayak) and prizegiving.

Next week we will be having our Life Education visit with Harold the Giraffe.  The children will be walking down to the hall to where the caravan will be parked.  Lessons will tie in with our focus this term on safety – personal, home, road, car/bus and water.

Thank you to those of you who are using the website, email or Skool Loop App to record your child’s absences.  Remember you can ring the school and leave a message on the the answerphone, if it is unattended, before school starts for the day.  This means we are not having to ring whanau up after 9.30am.

Finally just another admin thing- if your child is not going home the usual way – or the the way we have recorded –  please let the School know and not just a message through your child telling us.  This will ensure there will be no mix ups with care of them after school.
